Job summary

HCA Florida Fort Walton-Destin Hospital in Fort Walton Beach, FL is seeking a Patient Care Technician (PCT) to support our nursing team with hands-on care, vital signs, mobility and personal care while helping monitor conditions and care plans.

You will work closely with RNs to create a safe, welcoming environment for patients, assist with transfers, dressing changes, and keeping spaces clean and stocked, with a focus on teamwork, empathy and safety.

Qualifications

• BCLS must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date.

Responsibilities

• Assisting with patient preparation, mobility, transfers and comfort to support smooth care and recovery.
• Providing non-medicated care such as dressing changes, skin protection and use of supportive devices.
• Keeping patient areas and common spaces clean, organized and stocked to maintain safety and efficiency.
• Managing supplies, equipment and logs to support infection control and team readiness.
• Communicating kindly with patients, families and the care team to support safety and quality.
