Job summary

LMH Health in Lawrence, KS is seeking a dedicated patient-care professional for a full-time, night-shift CNA/MA/EMT support role. Under the direction of an RN, you will provide direct care, assist with admissions and transfers, and document accurately, while responding promptly to patient needs.

Qualifications

• Must have Kansas CNA, CMA program, EMT cert, or 1 year of nursing school.
• Excellent customer service and teamwork required.
• Full-time, permanent role with 3x12hr night shifts (7p–7a).

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care under direction of the RN.
• Accompany patients to treatments within the facility.
• Assist with admissions, discharges and transfers.
• Document accurately and timely in patient records.
• Assist with meals, bathing and activities of daily living.
• Report changes in patient condition to the RN on duty.

JOB SUMMARYThis position is responsible for providing selected patient care activities working under the direction of an RN. Must have excellent customer service skills and be a team player. Recognize changes in patient condition and reports to appropriate person. Assists in the admission, discharge and transfer of patients. Responds compassionately to patient requests and call lights in a timely manner.II. ESSENTIAL JOB RESPONSIBILITIESProvide direct care in accordance with treatment plans, as directed by the charge nurse, RN or nursing director.Accompany patients to various treatments throughout the facility.Complete required documentation accurately and in a timely manner.Perform and assist with patient lifts, transfers, positioning and ambulation.Observe report and document questionable patient conditions to the RN on duty.Assist with patient meals and bathing as directed.Performs nursing care according to the population served on the unit as referenced in the Administrative, Scope of Services Policy.Comply with laws and regulations in maintaining patient information.Regular and reliable attendance is an essential function of this positionIII.
