Job summary

North Central Surgical Center in Dallas, TX is seeking a PRN Patient Care Technician to join the night shift. You will assist with direct patient care, support patient flow through departments, answer phones, and help nurses as needed in a fast-paced hospital setting.

Candidates should be a high school graduate, CNA preferred, with AHA BLS certification. One year of experience is preferred, and you must communicate clearly while maintaining cleanliness, infection control, and equipment care

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) preferred.
• One year of experience is preferred.
• AHA BLS certification is required.
• Ability to communicate clearly and respectfully.
• Follow established cleaning methods in daily tasks.
• Knowledge of patient evaluation procedures.
• Maintain equipment and uphold safety and infection control standards.

Job Duties

Assists with direct patient care, patient flow through departments, answers phones, troubleshoots for nurses, chart building, and performs specialized medical procedures of a routine nature as needed. Authorized to access storage areas for the purpose of performing patient care duties within the scope of practice.

Required Skills:

• High school student or graduate or equivalent.
• Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA), preferred
• One year of experience is preferred
• AHA BLS certification, required.
• Ability to communicate clearly and respectfully
• Possess the ability to follow established cleaning methods in performing daily tasks.
• Knowledge of patient evaluation procedures
• Must be able to keep all equipment in good working condition and ability to maintain quality, safety, and/or infection control standards.
