Job summary

Methodist Hospital Northeast is seeking a Patient Care Technician (PCT) on a PRN basis to support our nursing team with hands-on patient care and comfort. You will assist with vital signs, mobility and daily needs under the supervision of RNs, contributing to a safe and dignified patient experience.

Minimum education includes a high school diploma or GED, with BLS within 30 days of hire. The role emphasizes empathy, reliability and teamwork within a fast-paced hospital setting.

Qualifications

• Education: High school diploma or GED.
• Experience: None.
• Preferred: CNA/EMS/LVN paths.
• BLS certification within 30 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Under RN supervision, perform delegated patient care activities as directed.
• Obtain vital signs, height/weight, intake/output, and simple dressing changes.
• Assist with safe patient handling and use of transfer devices.
• Support with daily living activities (bathing, grooming, feeding).
• Maintain safe patient environment and hand hygiene.
• Communicate timely with RN and document observations.
