Job summary

AdventHealth is seeking a PRN Nursing Assistant to support day shifts at our Shawnee, Kansas location. You will assist licensed nurses in delivering patient care, take vital signs, and document in the EMR while following safety and policy guidelines.

A commitment to continuous learning and teamwork is essential. Requirements include High School diploma or equivalent, BLS certification, and 1+ year CNA experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Computer skills required; customer service skills essential.
• Medical terminology knowledge preferred.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.

Responsibilities

• Assists in the delivery of patient care under the direction of a licensed nurse.
• Accurately performs vital signs and documents in the EMR.
• Documents and reports procedures accurately per department policy.
• Performs duties and patient care according to policy and procedures.
• Functions appropriately within scope in clinical emergencies.
• Participates in practice changes from performance improvement activities.
• Follows isolation guidelines and uses protective equipment as required.
• Maintains safety and cleanliness; seeks opportunities to upgrade skills.
• Communicates effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members.
• Other duties as assigned.
