Qualifications

• Under the direction of a registered nurse, the patient care technician provides direct patient care respecting age, developmental, cultural and spiritual needs.
• Demonstrates unit/area-designated competencies and maintains patient/family well-being.

Responsibilities

• Communicate effectively with team members and report changes to the RN.
• Perform nursing care as delegated to achieve treatment goals, including vitals and intake/output.
• Assist with ADLs and patient transfers, feeding, mobility, and comfort measures.
• Apply aseptic technique and assist with specimen collection and basic procedures as directed.
