Mount Sinai Medical Center of Florida, Inc. in Miami Beach is seeking a dedicated Patient Care Technician for the postpartum unit.

You will assist nurses, transport patients, and help prepare rooms for admissions, transfers, and postoperative patients, while maintaining a safe environment. You will take vital signs, monitor patients, and support newborn and mother care during night shifts 7p-7a, with on-the-job cross-training as a unit secretary and front desk coverage as needed.

Qualifications

• Florida Nursing Assistant Certification preferred.
• CPR certification required.

• Uses proper body mechanics during positioning, lifting, turning and ambulation.
• Reports changes in patient condition to the nurse promptly.
• Takes vital signs and records them accurately in the patient record.
• Provides water and tracks intake/output during shift.
• Makes frequent patient rounds at least every two hours.
• Performs enemas, sitz baths, blood glucose monitoring and simple dressing changes as directed.
