Job summary

Hackensack Meridian Health is seeking candidates for the Patient Care Technician (PCT) Apprentice program. This role provides entry to patient care with clinical learning opportunities and structured progression from apprentice to PCT upon successful completion.

Preference for candidates with phlebotomy, EKG, vital signs and basic nursing-related experience; BLS certification within 60 days is required or preferred. A supportive team and patient-centered care culture are emphasized.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• Completion of one of: PCT Apprenticeship Program, Nursing Assistant, Medical Assistant, CMA, EMT, or equivalent medical background; or eligible for HMH PCT Apprentice program.
• Must learn quickly, adapt to changing patient needs, be accountable, work well in a team, and maintain a strong patient-focused approach.

Responsibilities

• Provide patient care under supervision during the apprenticeship.
• Learn and perform basic clinical tasks as assigned during the program.
