Pulse Heart Institute in Tacoma, WA is seeking a flexible Patient Care Technician for the Float Pool. This FTE .9 role works nights with 12-hour shifts and rotating weekends, traveling between local Pulse locations to collaborate with nurses and support comprehensive cardiac care. Qualifications

  • High school graduate or equivalent preferred.
  • Nursing Assistant Certification/Licensure
  • Current BLS Certification
  • Previous patient care experience preferred
  • Previous Health Unit Coordinator experience preferred

Responsibilities

  • Perform a dynamic range of duties and functions throughout the hospital.
  • Assist in basic nursing care, transportation of patients, and clerical functions.
  • Apply strong interpersonal skills when caring for patients across diverse groups.

Position Summary

The Patient Care Technician Pulse Heart Institute Float Pool is an ideal opportunity for those seeking a dynamic and comprehensive role within our health care system. By covering nursing care, transportation of patients, and clerical functions, you will support exceptional patient health outcomes.

As float pool employee you will travel between locations, offering you a variety of facilities and staff to work with. In this role you will hone your clerical and communication skills, develop age-appropriate nursing care expertise, and collaborate to support patient care and services.

FTE: .9, Shift: Nights, Schedule: 12 hour shifts rotating weekends

Pay and Benefit Expectations

We provide a comprehensive benefits package, including competitive salary, medical, dental and retirement benefits and paid time off. As required by various pay transparency laws, we share a competitive range of compensation for candidates hired into each position. The pay scale is $23.61 - $39.01 USD. However, pay is influenced by factors specific to applicants, including but not limited to: skill set, level of experience, and certification(s) and/or education. If this position is associated with a union contract, pay will be reflective of the appropriate step on the pay scale to which the applicant’s years of experience align.
