Job summary

HCA Houston Healthcare Tomball is seeking a Patient Care Technician (PCT) to join our bedside nursing team in a PRN capacity. You will support Registered Nurses with vital signs, mobility, and daily patient care to promote safety and dignity for every patient.

You will perform non-medicated care, help with transfers, maintain clean and stocked patient areas, and communicate kindly with patients, families, and the care team to uphold high-quality, patient-centered care.

Qualifications

• Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date

Responsibilities

• Assisting with patient preparation, mobility, transfers, and comfort to support smooth care and recovery
• Providing non-medicated care such as dressing changes, skin protection, and use of supportive devices
• Keeping patient areas and common spaces clean, organized, and stocked to maintain safety and efficiency
• Managing supplies, equipment, and logs to support infection control and team readiness
• Communicating kindly with patients, families, and the care team to support safety and quality
