As a Patient Care Technician, you will:
Assist patients with daily living activities, including hygiene, mobility, feeding, repositioning, and comfort needs
Monitor and record vital signs and other patient information in the electronic medical record (EMR)
Observe and report changes in patient conditions to the care team
Support patient admissions, transfers, and discharges
Perform specimen collection and point-of-care testing as assigned
Collaborate with nurses, physicians, and team members to deliver high-quality patient care
Maintain a safe, clean, and healing environment for patients
Provide clerical and unit support, including answering phones and monitoring call lights when needed
Depending on training, department needs, and competency validation, PCTs may also perform advanced patient care skills, including:
