Job summary

The Hospital of Central Connecticut, part of Hartford HealthCare, is actively hiring Patient Care Technicians across Med Surg, Oncology, Ortho/Spine, Cardiac Telemetry, Surgical and Telemetry/Stroke units. Role requires caring for patients under RN supervision, with on-site orientation and career ladder opportunities.

No prior experience is required; however, completion of HHC orientation and BLS certification are required within 60 days.

Qualifications

• No experience required, training provided on-site.
• Successful completion of PCT-specific HHC orientation.
• Certified BLS Provider credentialed from the American Heart Association (AHA) obtained within 2 Months (60 days) of hire date or job transfer date.
• High school diploma or GED.
• Some relevant experience in an acute care hospital environment.
• Current certified BLS Provider credentialed from the American Heart Association (AHA).
• Certification as a C-PCT/A, EMT or CMA to be eligible for advancement in the PCT clinical ladder.

Responsibilities

• Provide patient care, clinical and administrative support under the direction of a Registered Nurse.
• Perform multi-skilled services to support care across units.
• Adapt to a high activity work environment with multiple priorities and scheduling flexibility.
• Career advancement opportunities through a clinical ladder for PCTs based on experience, skills and certifications.
