Job summary

HonorHealth is seeking a hospital-based caregiver for a full-time Night shift at Shea Medical Center in Scottsdale, AZ. The role covers 3-12 hour shifts from 6:00 PM to 6:30 AM, with self-scheduling for evenings and weekends and required weekend/holiday rotations.

Responsibilities include direct patient care, observation, and accurate medical record-keeping under licensed supervision. BLS is required; CNA or EMT credentials are preferred.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 6 months healthcare experience in the last 12 months required; acute care experience preferred.
• BLS certification required; CNA certification preferred; EMT license preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provides and collaborates direct patient care under the supervision of a licensed caregiver, including personal care, activities of daily living, vital signs, intake/output, ambulation, and aspects of the patient care plan.
• Observes and reports changes in patient condition to licensed caregiver and maintains accurate medical records related to care delivered.
• Addresses questions or concerns from patients, families, caregivers, or health care team members.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

We offer self-scheduling for shift and weekend coverage. Scheduled workdays may vary, as there are no set or fixed days. Weekend and Holiday Rotations are required in this role. Weekend shift differentials are offered, along with evening and night shift differentials where applicable.

Assists, observes, and reports patient changes to licensed caregiver and maintains accurate medical record documentation relative to the care delivered.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

• Provides and collaborates direct patient care services under the direct supervisor of a licensed caregiver. Responsibilities may include, but are not limited to personal care, activities of daily living, vital signs, intake and output, ambulation, interventions, and implementation of selected portions of the patient care plan as directed under supervisor of nurse.
• Assists, observes and reports changes in patient condition to licensed caregiver and maintains accurate medical record documentation in relation to the care delivered.
• Addresses and/or directs questions or concerns from patients, families, caregivers, or health care team members.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

EDUCATION

• High School Diploma or GED Required

EXPERIENCE

• Other Completion of Block 1 in Nursing OR Medical Assistant (MA) OR Nursing Assistant (NA) OR Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) OR Behavioral Health Technician (BHT) OR 6 months of experience in the healthcare setting within the last year Required
• 6 months in acute care experience. Preferred

LICENSE AND CERTIFICATIONS

• Basic Life Support (BLS) - Certification Required
• Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) - Certification Preferred
• Emergency Medical Technician - Basic (EMT) - License Emergency Medical Tech Preferred
