The Patient Care Technician provides patient-related care tasks based on development principles across the lifespan of patients in their unit. They assist, observe, and report patient changes to licensed caregivers and document care accurately. They provide and collaborate on direct patient care under the supervision of a licensed caregiver. Responsibilities include personal care, activities of daily living, vital signs, intake and output, ambulation, interventions, and implementing parts of the patient care plan as directed. They address questions or concerns from patients, families, and healthcare team members and perform other duties as assigned.
