Job summary

Munson Healthcare in Traverse City, MI is seeking a PRN Patient Care Technician to support clinic teams across our community hospitals. You will work 0-40 hours weekly, alongside Medical Assistants and Providers to ensure smooth patient flow and quality care in our busy outpatient clinics.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• BLS Certification preferred (Must be obtained within 6 months or hire and maintained)

Responsibilities

• Complete clinical and administrative tasks within the clinic alongside Medical Assistants and Providers to ensure patients are cared for and the clinic runs smoothly.
• Complete required patient care documentation including Medical Histories, referral requests, etc.
• Assist with day-to-day operations as required for optimal patient care and to support teammates and providers.
• Learn the skills and knowledge to progress to Non-Certified Medical Assistant or Certified Medical Assistant within Munson's clinics.

Job Description

A Day in the Life

• Patient Care Technicians complete clinical and administrative tasks within the clinic. They work alongside the Medical Assistants and Providers to make sure our patients are taken care of, and the clinic runs smoothly!
• You will complete required patient care documentation including Medical Histories, referral requests, etc.
• You will assist with day-to-day operations as required for optimal patient care which can include assisting fellow teammates and providers when necessary.
• As a Patient Care Technician, you will learn the skills and knowledge necessary to work your way up to being a Non-Certified Medical Assistant or Certified Medical Assistant within our clinics! We are committed to helping you build a career here at Munson!
