Job summary

HonorHealth is seeking a full-time Day shift caregiver for the Osborn Medical Center in Scottsdale, AZ. The role covers 6E-Neuro Stroke with 3-12 hour shifts from 6:00 AM to 6:30 PM.

Self-scheduling is offered with weekend and holiday rotations in addition to shift differentials where applicable. Responsibilities include providing patient care under supervision, observing and reporting changes, maintaining medical records, and addressing questions from patients and families.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 6 months of healthcare experience within the last year required.
• BLS certification required.
• CNA certification preferred.
• EMT certification/license preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provides direct patient care under the supervision of a licensed caregiver.
• Observes and reports changes in patient condition and documents care given.
• Addresses questions or concerns from patients, families, caregivers, or health care team.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Responsibilities

JOB SUMMARY

Provides patient related care tasks based on the principles of growth and development across the life span of patients served in his/her independent unit. Assists, observes, and reports patient changes to licensed caregiver and maintains accurate medical record documentation relative to the care delivered.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

• Provides and collaborates direct patient care services under the direct supervisor of a licensed caregiver. Responsibilities may include, but are not limited to personal care, activities of daily living, vital signs, intake and output, ambulation, interventions, and implementation of selected portions of the patient care plan as directed under supervisor of nurse.


• Assists, observes and reports changes in patient condition to licensed caregiver and maintains accurate medical record documentation in relation to the care delivered.


• Addresses and/or directs questions or concerns from patients, families, caregivers, or health care team members.


• Performs other duties as assigned.

EDUCATION

• High School Diploma or GED Required

EXPERIENCE

• Other Completion of Block 1 in Nursing OR Medical Assistant (MA) OR Nursing Assistant (NA) OR Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) OR Behavioral Health Technician (BHT) OR 6 months of experience in the healthcare setting within the last year Required
• 6 months in acute care experience. Preferred

LICENSE AND CERTIFICATIONS

• Basic Life Support (BLS) - Certification Required
• Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) - Certification Preferred


• Emergency Medical Technician - Basic (EMT) - License Emergency Medical Tech Preferred
