Job summary

LCMC Health in New Orleans is seeking a Patient Care Tech to be on the front line of care, delivering compassionate support at the bedside, gathering data, and assisting with daily patient needs.

You will help with hygiene, nutrition, safety, and a clean care environment, completing rounds and supporting the care team to drive patient satisfaction.

Must have a High School diploma or equivalent, BLS certification, and about 1 year of clinical care experience; CNA or PCT experience preferred.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent is required.
• Current American Heart Association BLS certification.
• About 1 year of clinical care experience; CNA or PCT experience preferred.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced bedside-care environment.

Responsibilities

• Assist in collection of data for assessment of patients' conditions, including vital signs, weights, blood glucose monitoring, I&O.
• Assist with patient hygiene, nutrition and personal care needs.
• Maintain a safe environment for patients and staff.
• Maintain a clean environment in patient care area.
• Complete patient rounding to drive patient satisfaction and safety.
• Embrace teamwork and direction in performance of duties.

• Complete patient rounding in accordance with patient assignments and schedule to drive patient satisfaction and safety.

Must-Haves

• High School Diploma or equivalent, appropriate work experience.
• Current American Heart Association BLS certification.
• 1 year of Clinical Care experience; CNA or PCT experience in a healthcare setting preferred.
