Job summary

Beth Israel Lahey Health is seeking a Patient Care Technician to provide basic care, comfort and safety to patients under RN supervision. You will support the care team with vital signs, daily activities, meals and simple clinical tasks while maintaining compassionate, patient-centered service.

The role emphasizes teamwork, flexibility, and timely communication in a busy clinical setting. CNA/BLS readiness within 90 days is noted, with part-time hours and day shifts available.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Ability to read/write and perform basic 4 function math.
• Desire to help people and/or aspiration to becoming a healthcare professional.
• Basic computer skills (preferred).
• Medical terminology (preferred).
• BLS certification required within 90 days of hire.
• CNA Certification preferred but not required upon hire.

Responsibilities

• Take vital signs and height/weight measurements.
• Monitor oxygen saturation and report unusual observations.
• Collect specimens for analysis and document intake/output.
• Assist with personal care and activities of daily living.
• Perform basic clinical procedures under RN supervision.
• Order and set up meals and assist with feeding as needed.
