HCA Healthcare, Inc. at TriStar Summit Medical Center is seeking a Lead Patient Care Tech to join the nursing team and deliver compassionate, hands-on patient care.

You will assist with procedures, mentor new staff, document care updates, and support a safe, high-quality clinical environment across units. This role emphasizes teamwork, infection prevention, and continuous improvement in patient care.

CPR/Basic Life Support training must be completed within 30 days of start date.

Qualifications

• CPR/BCLS required within 30 days of start date.
• No travel required.
• No prior experience required.

Responsabilités

• Assisting patients with ADLs, mobility and comfort, vital signs, specimen collection and telemetry monitoring.
• Documenting patient care and communicating updates to the nursing team.
• Maintain a safe, clean environment following infection prevention practices.
• Support equipment setup and supply readiness for procedures.
• Train and mentor new team members on policies and quality initiatives.

Job Summary and Qualifications

As a Lead Patient Care Tech, you’ll be an integral part of the nursing team, delivering compassionate care that impacts patients’ lives every day. You’ll provide hands‑on patient care, assist with advanced procedures, and help guide and mentor and support the growth of new and experienced patient care tech staff.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Assisting patients with ADLs (Activities of Daily Living), supporting mobility and comfort, checking vital signs, collecting specimens, preparing for procedures, and monitoring telemetry as needed
• Documenting patient care accurately and communicating important updates to the nursing team to ensure coordinated, timely care
• Helping maintain a safe, clean environment by following infection prevention practices, setting up and caring for equipment, and ensuring needed supplies are ready
• Responding to patient needs through regular rounding and compassionate communication to promote comfort and trust
• Training new team members, sharing updates on policies and quality improvement initiatives that enhance patient care

What qualifications you will need:

• Basic Cardiac Life Support, or CPR must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date
