The 32-bed intermediate-care cardiac unit on Klarman 8 has a primary focus on advanced heart failure therapies.

The patient population consists of decompensated heart failure, complex arrhythmias, myocardial infarctions, and post-procedural patients, including structural heart procedures, percutaneous coronary intervention (PCI), electrophysiology procedures, etc. In addition, Klarman 8 is the designated inpatient unit for patients requiring advanced modalities such as inotropic medications, left ventricular assist devices (LVAD), pulmonary artery catheters, and pericardial drains.

Job Summary

Collaborates with an inpatient nursing team to provide quality patient care.

Essential Responsibilities

• Collaborates with a registered nurse on developing a patient's care plan.
• Develops and maintains competencies as delegated by a registered nurse.
• Maintains the safety of patients who have been identified at risk for preventable injury by the implementation of nursing safety interventions or the use of protective devices/equipment under the supervision of the registered nurse.
• Reports all patient activity to the registered nurse in a timely manner.

Required Qualifications

• Patient care experience strongly preferred through any of the following areas: CNA (or LNA), MA, ED Tech, EMT, PCT certificate or currently enrolled nursing student who has completed at least one clinical rotation. • Basic familiarity with computers. Ability to navigate at a basic level within web-based applications.

Physical Nature Of The Job

Pay Range

$20.50 - $27.59

The pay range listed for this position is the base hourly wage range the organization reasonably and in good faith expects to pay for this position at this time.
