Sanford Health in the United States is seeking a compassionate Patient Care Technician (PCT) to provide patient-centered nursing care and daily living assistance under the supervision of a Registered Nurse or Licensed Practical Nurse.

Your day-to-day includes assisting with daily living activities, monitoring and reporting changes in patient conditions, and ensuring patient safety and well-being. A sign-on bonus is available for eligible applicants.

Formación

• High school diploma or GED preferred, but not required.
• Knowledge of healthcare, anatomy, physiology, medical terminology, and medical equipment.
• Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) preferred.
• In North Dakota, non-CNA must be on the Nurse Aide Registry within four months.

Summary

The Patient Care Technician (PCT) serves as caregiver to the patient during the scheduled work period. The Patient Care Technician provides patient-centered nursing care and daily living assistance to assigned patient under the supervision of a Registered Nurse (RN) or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN).

Qualifications

High school graduate or general equivalency diploma (GED) preferred, but not required.

Knowledge of healthcare, anatomy, physiology, medical terminology, and medical equipment/supplies preferred.

Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) preferred. Obtains and subsequently maintains required department specific competencies and certifications.

If working in North Dakota (ND) and not a Certified Nursing Assistant, must be on the North Dakota Department of Health Nurse Aide Registry upon completion of training/competency validation or a maximum of four months from the date of initial employment.

If working in Wisconsin, must be on the Wisconsin Nurse Aide Registry with current work eligibility or a student nurse, currently enrolled at a school approved by the Wisconsin Board of Nursing, who has completed a basic nursing course and 16 hours of clinical experience.
