Sanford Health in the United States is seeking a Patient Care Technician (PCT) to provide patient-centered nursing care under RN/LPN supervision. The role supports daily living activities and safety in a fast-paced hospital setting.

Formación

• High school diploma or GED preferred, not required.
• Knowledge of healthcare, anatomy, physiology, medical terminology, and medical equipment/supplies.
• CNA preferred; maintains required department competencies and certifications.
• ND: must be on the ND Nurse Aide Registry within training/competency validation or within four months.
• WI: must be on the Wisconsin Nurse Aide Registry or be a student nurse with basic nursing course and 16 hours of clinical.

Summary

The Patient Care Technician (PCT) serves as caregiver to the patient during the scheduled work period. The Patient Care Technician provides patient-centered nursing care and daily living assistance to assigned patient under the supervision of a Registered Nurse (RN) or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN).

Qualifications

• High school graduate or general equivalency diploma (GED) preferred, but not required.
• Knowledge of healthcare, anatomy, physiology, medical terminology, and medical equipment/supplies preferred.
• Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) preferred. Obtains and subsequently maintains required department specific competencies and certifications.
• If working in North Dakota (ND) and not a Certified Nursing Assistant, must be on the North Dakota Department of Health Nurse Aide Registry upon completion of training/competency validation or a maximum of four months from the date of initial employment.
• If working in Wisconsin, must be on the Wisconsin Nurse Aide Registry with current work eligibility or a student nurse, currently enrolled at a school approved by the Wisconsin Board of Nursing, who has completed a basic nursing course and 16 hours of clinical experience.
