Job summary

Sanford Health in Fargo, ND seeks a Patient Care Technician (PCT) to provide patient-centered nursing care and daily living assistance under RN/LPN supervision. We welcome all experience levels and value independence, flexibility, and compassionate care in a dynamic hospital setting.

Responsibilities include vital signs, rooming patients, preparing treatment rooms, and assisting providers. Benefits include training, advancement, and a supportive work environment.

Qualifications

  • High school graduate or GED preferred, but not required.
  • Knowledge of healthcare, anatomy, physiology, medical terminology, and medical equipment/supplies preferred.
  • Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) preferred.
  • ND: if not CNA, must be on the ND Nurse Aide Registry within training/competency validation (max 4 months).
  • WI: must be on the Wisconsin Nurse Aide Registry or be a student nurse with basic nursing course and 16 hours of clinical experience.

Job Summary

The Patient Care Technician (PCT) serves as caregiver to the patient during the scheduled work period. The Patient Care Technician provides patient-centered nursing care and daily living assistance to assigned patient under the supervision of a Registered Nurse (RN) or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN). Whether you're seasoned in the field or just starting out, we welcome patient care technicians of all experience levels. We are seeking a self-motivated, independent and compassionate individual to help serve our patients. Ability to adapt to a dynamic work environment while managing various tasks is required. Your day to day may include:

Qualifications

High school graduate or general equivalency diploma (GED) preferred, but not required. Knowledge of healthcare, anatomy, physiology, medical terminology, and medical equipment/supplies preferred.

Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) preferred. Obtains and subsequently maintains required department specific competencies and certifications.

If working in North Dakota (ND) and not a Certified Nursing Assistant, must be on the North Dakota Department of Health Nurse Aide Registry upon completion of training/competency validation or a maximum of four months from the date of initial employment.

If working in Wisconsin, must be on the Wisconsin Nurse Aide Registry with current work eligibility or a student nurse, currently enrolled at a school approved by the Wisconsin Board of Nursing, who has completed a basic nursing course and 16 hours of clinical experience.
