Job summary

HCA Florida Gulf Coast Hospital in Florida is seeking a Patient Care Technician (PCT) to join a collaborative nursing team. You will assist Registered Nurses with daily patient needs, vital signs, mobility, and personal care while helping monitor conditions and carry out care plans.

Your role includes preparing patients for procedures, safe transfers, maintaining clean and stocked spaces, and contributing to infection control. Strong teamwork, empathy, and communication are essential.

Qualifications

• Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification must be obtained within 30 days of start date

Responsibilities

• Assist with patient preparation, mobility, transfers and comfort to support smooth care and recovery
• Provide non-medicated care such as dressing changes, skin protection, and use of supportive devices
• Keep patient areas and common spaces clean, organized, and stocked to maintain safety and efficiency
• Manage supplies, equipment, and logs to support infection control and team readiness
• Communicate kindly with patients, families, and the care team to support safety and quality
