Job summary

The Medical University of South Carolina is seeking a Patient Care Technician (PCT) to support nursing staff under RN supervision. This role requires a high school diploma or GED, BLS certification, and strong communication.

Prior patient care experience is preferred. You will work 36 hours weekly on various shifts in a hospital setting.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) required on hire and maintained thereafter.
• 1 year of patient care work experience in a health care facility or CNA preferred.

Responsibilities

• Keep patient rooms tidy and sanitized.
• Assist patients with personal hygiene and mobility needs.
• Monitor vital signs and report changes to nursing staff.
• Assist with basic treatments and ensure adequate supplies.
