Job summary

Baptist Health Care is seeking a Patient Care Technician II for the Medical Unit in Gulf Breeze, FL. This full-time, day-shift role supports nursing staff by performing routine patient care, documenting in the electronic health record, and ensuring a safe environment for patients and visitors.

You will assist with ambulation, vital signs, hygiene, meal support, and basic clinical tasks under licensed supervision.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent is required.
• Minimum 6 months experience in a health care related field or active enrollment in a pre-nursing or nursing program.
• BLS for Healthcare Providers (American Heart Association) required on hire.

Responsibilities

• Assist with ambulation and mobilization of patients.
• Take and record vital signs (BP, temperature, pulse, respirations, O2 sat).
• Assist with personal hygiene and activities of daily living.
• Maintain patient room cleanliness and organize supplies.
• Document data and communicate with nurses and physicians.
• Operate and utilize electronic health record systems.
