Virtua Health in Mount Holly, NJ seeks a Patient Care Technician for ICU on the Day shift. Under RN/LPN supervision, you will assist with activities of daily living, monitor patients, and support the healthcare team in delivering safe care.

Responsibilities include vital signs, phlebotomy and EKGs if certified, patient isolation precautions, and documenting changes. A strong team player with clear communication is essential.

Qualifications

• Must have strong communication skills and basic patient care knowledge.
• Completion of a PCT course, CNA program, or RN fundamentals coursework is required.
• BLS certification is required; phlebotomy training may be needed for some ED roles.

Responsibilities

• Assist with activities of daily living (bathing, dressing, grooming, oral care, feeding, toileting, mobility).
• Perform vital signs and point-of-care testing as directed by RN/LPN.
• Conduct phlebotomy and EKGs if certified; document changes in patient status.
• Reinforce patient and family education on care needs and safety.
• Support patient satisfaction initiatives and participate in performance improvements.
• Aid in orientation of new hires.
