Job summary

The University of Texas Medical Branch in Galveston, TX is seeking a Patient Care Regular on the Day Shift to provide basic technical assistance and supportive care to patients in assigned areas.

Minimum qualifications include completion of a recognized Nurse Assistant, Medical Assistant, EMT, or related program, along with BLS certification and relevant experience. This is an on-site position emphasizing patient-centered care and teamwork.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent plus completion of an approved technical program or nursing assistant/medical assistant/corpsman/EMT training.
• Two years of direct patient care experience or credential as MA/PCT/CNA at hire.
• Enrolled in nursing school with first semester clinical concepts and health assessment.

Education & Experience

• Is enrolled in a recognized School of Nursing and has completed the first semester of education which contains clinical concepts and health assessment or the equivalent.
