Job summary

St. Claire Regional Med Center in Morehead, KY, is seeking a Patient Care Technician I to provide direct, compassionate, patient-centered care under supervision.

You will assist with vital signs, phlebotomy, documentation, activities of daily living, and prepare patients for procedures while ensuring a safe, clean environment. The role involves collaboration with interdisciplinary teams, patient transport, and participation in rehabilitation activities as needed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 0-1 year healthcare or clinical setting experience.
• BLS, CPI, SRNA certification as applicable state.

Responsibilities

• Assist patient care team with routine care, hygiene, mobility and delegated non-nursing tasks.
• Assist with admission, transfer, discharge, and transportation of patients as needed.
• Monitor and document patient status including vital signs, intake/output, pain assessments, and observations.
• Communicate important patient information to the team and participate in hand-offs using established protocols.
• Maintain a clean, safe environment and ensure equipment function and storage.
