Job summary

GBMC HealthCare in Baltimore, MD is seeking a Certified Nursing Assistant to support registered nurses and provide direct patient care under supervision.

You will assist with activities of daily living, monitor vital signs, document observations, and help maintain a clean, safe patient environment while following infection control practices.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Current registration with State of Maryland Board of Nursing Examiners as a CNA I or CNA II.
  • Heart Saver CPR Certification.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with direct patient care under nurse supervision.
  • Perform routine vital signs, weights, I&O, and specimen collection as directed.
  • Assist with activities of daily living (bathing, toileting, feeding, etc.).
  • Maintain clean, stocked patient rooms and assist with admissions, transfers, and discharges.
  • Observe and report patient condition changes to nursing staff.
  • Document observations in electronic medical records per protocol.

Under direct supervision, assists the Registered Nurse and/or Licensed Practical Nurse (hereby mentioned as “nurse”) in providing direct and indirect patient care. Assists the nurse with delegated nursing procedures under the day-to-day supervision of the nurse and is formally supervised by the Nurse Manager.
