Job summary

Methodist Mansfield Medical Center is seeking a Patient Care Technician to support nursing staff and provide compassionate patient care within a 294-bed acute-care hospital serving North Texas. You will contribute to the patient’s comfort and safety under supervision of licensed professionals.

Eligible candidates include high school diploma or equivalent, CNA or CMA training, nursing student progress, or EMT/paramedic credentials, with BLS certification required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent is required.
• 1 year experience as a nursing assistant in a comparable facility or
• Graduate from a certified nursing assistant program or
• Certified Medical Assistant program or
• Nursing student who has completed first semester of nursing program
• Military medic/corpsman experience documented
• Foreign nursing graduate not licensed in U.S.
• EMT Certification/Paramedic License is acceptable.

Job Purpose

• The Patient Care Technician under the direction of the professional staff, assists with patient care to provide support to the patient, nursing unit and professional staff.

Job Requirements

Education

• High School Diploma or Equivalent, Required
• 1 year experience as a nursing assistant in a comparable healthcare facility Or
• Graduate from a certified nursing assistant program Or
• Certified Medical Assistant program Or
• Nursing student who documents completion of the first semester of a Nursing Program Or
• Documented military experience as a medic/corpsman Or
• Foreign Nursing graduate not currently licensed to practice as a Registered Nurse in the U.S Or
• EMT Certification/Paramedic License

Licenses and/or Certifications

• Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification, Required
