St. David's North Austin Medical Center is hiring a Patient Care Technician Float Pool to support our nursing team with hands-on care, vital signs, and patient comfort. You will assist RNs and help maintain a safe, welcoming environment for patients across shifts.

Responsibilities include patient preparation, mobility, dressing changes, and ensuring clean, stocked spaces. BCLS is required within 30 days of starting, with a strong emphasis on teamwork and compassionate care.

Responsibilities

• Assisting with patient preparation, mobility, transfers, and comfort to support smooth care and recovery
• Providing non‑medicated care such as dressing changes, skin protection, and use of supportive devices
• Keeping patient areas and common spaces clean, organized, and stocked to maintain safety and efficiency
• Managing supplies, equipment, and logs to support infection control and team readiness
• Communicating kindly with patients, families, and the care team to support safety and quality
