Texoma Medical Center in Denison, TX, seeks a patient-care aide to support licensed nurses by addressing the physical and psychosocial needs of patients in a professional and timely manner.

You will perform tasks as dictated by competency documentation, provide direct care with limited invasive procedures, and assist with other duties as assigned to ensure a safe and compassionate care environment.

Qualifications

• Reading and numerical competency. Must possess competency in use of technology and computers.
• Previous care giving experience preferred. Must have the ability to demonstrate basic care giving skills and essential job functions.
• BLS Healthcare Provider course according to RQI program guidelines and all required Emergency Cardiovascular Care (ECC) Healthcare Provider courses will be provided during new hire orientation or upon transfer, and must be completed prior to working in a clinical setting. Must successfully complete "Handle with Care" within 6 months of hire/transfer, and annually thereafter.
• Must be able to demonstrate the knowledge and skills necessary to provide care/service appropriate to the age of the patients served on the assigned unit/department and reports patient welfare, safety and security to RN.
