Geisinger is proud to offer a part time Patient Care Technician a $18.94 minimum hiring rate with increased rates for experienced individuals, up to $3 shift differentials for evening, nights, and weekend shifts and up to $40,000 in financial support to become a nurse!

ACE Nursing Model of Care: Achieving Collaborative Excellence

Geisinger is excited to be piloting a new model of care on our Advanced Acute Care Units at our Danville, Bloomsburg, and Shamokin campuses. The ACE Nursing Model of Care utilizes more Patient Care Technician staff to take responsibility for and perform the duties that do not require a nursing license. This new model of care will allow Patient Care Technicians more opportunity for career advancement, autonomy in their role, and greater involvement in the delivery of patient care.

Primary Duties May Include

• Being the primary facilitator of ADLs: hygiene, toileting, mobility, meals
• Collecting vital signs & daily weights
• Conducting Point of Care testing
• Turning & repositioning patients
• Performing equipment checks & exchanges
• Dressing care
• Removal of Foley Catheter and Peripheral IV
• Nasogastric tube removal and performing nasal swabs
• Checking code carts and oxygen storage cabinets

BP8 Advanced Acute Care Hematology Unit

Schedule: 8 and 12 hour night shifts including every other weekend and holiday.

Required Orientation: At the start of employment, a consecutive two-week classroom orientation is required with a schedule of Monday - Friday, 7:00am - 3:30pm.

No Experience Needed. Comprehensive On The Job Training Provided.
