Job summary

Hackensack Meridian Health is offering a Patient Care Technician (PCT) Apprenticeship Program. This program blends classroom learning with hands-on unit preceptorship to train compassionate candidates who want a career in nursing and patient care.

Apprentices will gain experience across patient care criteria, communication, safety, and teamwork. After successful completion, you advance to a Patient Care Technician role within Hackensack Meridian Health.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• Strong focus on teamwork and patient-centered care.
• AHA Basic Health Care Life Support HCP certification within 60 days of entering position.

Responsibilities

• Provide patient care based on safety and patient needs.
• Communicate with patients, families and health care team.
• Support interdisciplinary care plans and participate in unit PI activities.
• Adhere to organizational standards and behaviors.
