Hackensack Meridian Health is offering a PCT Apprenticeship Program designed to train eager candidates for a career in nursing, combining classroom training and unit preceptorship to transition from apprentice to Patient Care Technician.

Starting hourly rate is $17.74 with a comprehensive benefits package; applicants should have a High School diploma or GED, be quick to learn, and committed to teamwork and high-quality patient care.

Qualifications

• High School diploma, GED, and/or GED equivalent programs.
• Ability to learn quickly, adapt to changing patient needs, and work in a collaborative team.
• AHA Basic Health Care Life Support (HCP) Certification within 60 days of entering position.

Responsibilities

• Provide patient care based on age, safety, education and psychosocial needs.
• Ensure safe patient outcomes through practice, judgment and timely actions.
• Maintain ongoing communication with patients and nursing colleagues.
• Participate in interdisciplinary care planning from admission to discharge.
