Job summary

Sanford Health in Sioux Falls, SD is seeking a Patient Care Technician to support ambulatory services and assist with basic patient care under supervision.

You will prepare treatment areas, monitor inventory, and participate in patient registries to improve care. Strong interpersonal skills and knowledge of medical terminology are essential; CNA and BLS credentials are preferred or required within timelines.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred, but not required.
• Six months’ experience in a clinic setting preferred.
• CNA preferred. BLS for health care providers required or within 60 days of employment.
• Knowledge of healthcare, anatomy, physiology, medical terminology and medical equipment/supplies preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide basic patient care and support ambulatory services under supervision.
• Prepare patient treatment areas and clean/maintain equipment.
• Restock inventory and manage medical supplies as needed.
• Assist with patient registries and identify opportunities to improve patient care.
• Demonstrate strong interpersonal skills in a busy clinic environment.
