Job summary

Northside Hospital in Georgia seeks a Patient Care Technician to provide nursing assistance and direct patient care, ensuring comfort and safety. The role supports activities of daily living and personal hygiene, within a unit-based, self-directed team across licensed and non-licensed staff.

The candidate must have BLS, GA CNA or other recognized CMA/RMA/CCMA credentials and at least one year of relevant acute patient care experience. This is a frontline role in a busy hospital environment.

Qualifications

• Must hold American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS).
• Certified Nursing Assistant registered in Georgia Registry.
• Certified Medical Assistant awarded by the American Association of Medical Assistants (AAMA).
• Registered Medical Assistant awarded by the American Medical Technologists (AMT).
• Certified Clinical Medical Assistant awarded by the National Healthcareer Association (NHA).
• One (1) year of patient care experience, as a CNA, PCT, Military Medic, ED Tech or other relevant acute, direct patient care experience.

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing assistance and patient care to support the comfort, safety and personal needs of patients.
• Assist patients with activities of daily living and perform procedures for hygiene and comfort.
• Work within a unit-based, self-directed patient care team while sharing tasks with licensed and non-licensed colleagues.

The Patient Care Technician provides nursing assistance and patient care to provide for the comfort, safety and personal needs of patients. Assists patients with activities of daily living and performs procedures for physical hygiene and comfort of patients. Performs duties with the construct of a unit-based, self-directed patient care team while sharing various tasks with other licensed and non-licensed members.

REQUIRED

• Must hold American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS)
• Certified Nursing Assistant on the Georgia Registry

OR

Certified Medical Assistant awarded by the American Association of Medical Assistants (AAMA)

OR

Registered Medical Assistant awarded by the American Medical Technologists (AMT)

OR

Certified Clinical Medical Assistant awarded by the National Healthcareer Association (NHA)

• One (1) year of patient care experience, as a CNA, PCT, Military Medic, ED Tech or other relevant acute, direct patient care experience.
