Job summary

St.-Bernards-Healthcare is seeking a Patient Care Technician to assist licensed nursing staff in daily patient care activities within a hospital setting.

Responsibilities include performing assigned tasks under supervision, adhering to hospital policies, and supporting patient care across assigned areas on a single shift. This is a safety-sensitive role with overtime and call-back as needed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• CNA license (current or previous) or CNA training program completion.
• For those currently enrolled in an approved nursing program, RN/LPN program with nursing skills checklist is required.
• One year of PCT experience in an acute care setting may satisfy requirements.
• Knowledge of patient care technician practices and hospital policies is expected.
• Ability to perform support activities in patient care as described by the facility.

Responsibilities

• Perform assigned patient care activities under the supervision of licensed nursing personnel.
• Assist licensed nursing personnel as directed.
• Cover assigned areas on one shift with possible overtime and call-back as required.
