Job summary

Methodist Hospital in San Antonio, part of HCA Healthcare, is seeking a Patient Care Technician (PCT) to join our collaborative nursing team. You will assist with vital signs, mobility, daily patient needs, and care plan execution to restore comfort and dignity for patients.

You will work closely with RNs to monitor conditions, ensure safety, and provide compassionate, non-medicated care. This role emphasizes teamwork, infection control, and patient-centered service.

Qualifications

• Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date

Responsibilities

• Assisting with patient preparation, mobility, transfers, and comfort to support smooth care and recovery
• Providing non-medicated care such as dressing changes, skin protection, and use of supportive devices
• Keeping patient areas and common spaces clean, organized, and stocked to maintain safety and efficiency
• Managing supplies, equipment, and logs to support infection control and team readiness
• Communicating kindly with patients, families, and the care team to support safety and quality
