Mercy Surgery Center is hiring a part-time Patient Care Technician to support PreOp and PostOp care in a fast-paced ambulatory surgery center in California. The role provides basic nursing support under RN supervision and ensures a safe, clean environment for patients and teams.

The ideal candidate will have a High School Diploma or GED, 1+ year direct patient care experience, and familiarity with patient charts and infection control protocols.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Medical Assistant or clinical training preferred.
• 1+ year direct patient care experience.
• Knowledge of patient care charts and patient histories.
• Ability to perform standard clinical procedures according to established protocols.
• Ability to maintain quality, safety, and/or infection control standards.
• Ability to adapt to change quickly, strong knowledge base relative to surgery procedures and management of the surgical patient.
• Understands principles of aseptic technique and their implementation.

Mercy Surgery Center is hiring a part-time Patient Care Technician

Mercy Surgery Center is a fast-paced, multi-specialty Ambulatory Surgery Center (ASC) environment committed to producing the highest quality work and experience for patients and their families.

What You Will Do (Job Summary):

Assist patients with PreOp and PostOp care. Provides basic nursing care to non-acutely ill patients and assists in maintenance of a safe and clean environment under the direction and supervision of the Registered Nurse in charge of the team.

Monday-Friday daytime work schedule

NO call required

NO Nights, NO Weekends, NO Holiday work hours

Starting pay range is $25 - $29 per hour, depending on experience

Part Time requires 20 - 29 hours per week.
