Job summary

TriStar Hendersonville Medical Center is seeking a Patient Care Technician to support Registered Nurses with hands-on patient care, vital signs, mobility, and daily personal care in a collaborative nursing team.

You will assist RNs with care plans, monitor conditions, and help create a safe, welcoming environment for patients, ensuring comfort and dignity throughout the shift.

Qualifications

• Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date

Responsibilities

• Assist with patient preparation, mobility, transfers and comfort to support smooth care and recovery
• Provide non-medicated care such as dressing changes, skin protection and use of supportive devices
• Keep patient areas and common spaces clean, organized, and stocked to maintain safety and efficiency
• Manage supplies, equipment, and logs to support infection control and team readiness
• Communicate kindly with patients, families, and the care team to support safety and quality

Job Summary And Qualifications

As a Patient Care Technician (PCT), you will be a vital part of our collaborative nursing team, supporting Registered Nurses in providing hands‑on care and helping create a safe, welcoming environment for patients. You'll assist with daily needs such as vital signs, mobility, and personal care, while helping RNs monitor conditions and carry out care plans. TriStar Hendersonville Medical Center is a 159-bed facility providing quality healthcare to Sumner and surrounding counties for more than 45 years. The facility is the first Accredited Chest Pain Center in Sumner County, a Certified Primary Stroke Center and a designated Level III Trauma Center.
