Job summary

Nacogdoches Medical Center in Texas is seeking a compassionate Certified Nursing Assistant to render basic patient care in an assigned unit and support the nursing staff. The role emphasizes observing and recording patient condition, taking vital signs, and assisting with procedures to ensure patient comfort and safety.

Qualifications

Minimum Education: CNA, nurse aide experience, or currently attending a school of nursing.
Required Certification: BLS
FLSA Status: Non-exempt

Responsibilities

Renders basic patient care to patients in an assigned unit and assists the professional nurse; takes and records vital signs and observes, reports, and records patient condition; obtains specimens and administers other treatments.
Operates or assists in operating various mechanical devices; meets physical comfort needs of patient; reports emergencies and administers emergency treatment.
