Job summary

Universal Health Services through TMC Bonham Hospital is seeking a Patient Care Technician to support nursing staff and assist with basic patient care in a 25-bed rural CAH setting.

Under the direction of a licensed nurse, you will help meet patients' physical and psychosocial needs, perform routine tasks, and ensure timely care while maintaining safety and quality standards.

Qualifications

• Reading and numerical comprehension required.
• BLS Healthcare Provider cert must be completed during new hire orientation.

The Critical Access Hospital, offering both inpatient and outpatient services along with 24-hour emergency services. The Patient Care Tech works under the direction of a licensed nurse to assist in meeting the physical and psychosocial needs of patients in a professional and timely manner. Performs various tasks as competency documentation designates. Position provides direct care with limited invasives procedures. Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Reading and numerical competency.
• BLS (Basic Life Support) Healthcare Provider course according to RQI program guidelines must be completed during new hire orientation prior to working in a clinical setting.
• Must be able to provide basic care giving skills to patients. Must have effective communication and time management skills.
