Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Knowledge of medical terminology and patient care needs.
• Ability to complete delegated tasks within scope of role.
• Knowledge of personal care and hygiene for quality of life.
• Understanding of reducing risks in healthcare settings.
• Ability to communicate with diverse patients and families.
• Understanding of effective communication concepts and partnering with patients.
• BLS certification required upon hire.

Responsibilities

• Communicates with the interprofessional team, patient, family and care partners.
• Performs direct and indirect patient care activities under supervision.
• Promotes a safe patient care environment.
• Maintains supplies and equipment for efficient unit operations.
• Conducts patient rounds and responds to call lights promptly.
• May serve as virtual safety associate as needed.
• May assist with virtual clinical exams using telehealth tech.
