Job summary

Hartford HealthCare’s Hartford Hospital is seeking a Patient Care Tech to support patient care under the supervision of a Nurse Leader. This role includes direct and indirect patient care activities to ensure a safe and efficient care environment and a positive patient experience.

No experience is required and on-site training is provided. Candidates must obtain BLS within 60 days of hire, and preferred applicants include CNA, CPCT/A, EMT or CMA credentials for advancement through the PCT

Qualifications

• No experience required, training provided on-site.
• Certified BLS Provider credentialed from the American Heart Association (AHA) obtained within 2 Months (60 days) of hire date or job transfer date.
• Preferred: High school diploma or GED; some relevant experience in an acute care hospital environment; current BLS Provider credentialed from AHA; Certification as a CNA, CPCT/A, EMT or CMA for advancement in the PCT clinical ladder

Responsibilities

• Performs direct and indirect patient care activities essential to providing a safe and efficient care environment.
• Supports patient care under the supervision of a Nurse Leader and contributes to a positive patient experience.
• Flexible scheduling in a high-activity work environment; participates in the clinical ladder for advancement based on experience, skillsets, and certifications held.
