Job summary

Methodist Hospital Stone Oak Rehabilitation Center, part of HCA Healthcare, is seeking a Patient Care Technician (PCT) to support our nursing team with hands-on care and compassionate service. You will assist with vital signs, mobility, and personal care while helping RNs monitor conditions and carry out care plans in a safe, welcoming environment.

Qualifications

• Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) within 30 days of start date.
• Preferred: CNA Training Program; 1+ year in acute care setting.

Responsibilities

• Assist with patient preparation, mobility, transfers and comfort.
• Provide non-medicated care such as dressing changes, skin protection, and use of supportive devices.
• Keep patient areas clean, organized, and stocked for safety and efficiency.
• Manage supplies, equipment, and logs to support infection control and team readiness.
• Communicate kindly with patients, families, and the care team to support safety and quality.

Job Summary And Qualifications

As a Patient Care Technician (PCT), you will be a vital part of our collaborative nursing team, supporting Registered Nurses in providing hands-on care and helping create a safe, welcoming environment for patients. Your responsibilities will include:

• Assisting with patient preparation, mobility, transfers, and comfort to support smooth care and recovery
• Providing non-medicated care such as dressing changes, skin protection, and use of supportive devices
• Keeping patient areas and common spaces clean, organized, and stocked to maintain safety and efficiency
• Managing supplies, equipment, and logs to support infection control and team readiness
• Communicating kindly with patients, families, and the care team to support safety and quality

What qualifications you will need:

• Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date
• Preferred: CNA Training Program; 1+ years of experience in an acute care setting
