Job summary

Firelands Regional Medical Center is seeking an adaptable caregiver to support patient care in our hospital setting. Assists with vital signs, feeding, hygiene, EKGs, and patient transfers, and helps coordinate diagnostic tests with care teams.

Responsibilities include scheduling procedures, responding to call lights, maintaining confidentiality, and contributing to patient satisfaction through service excellence.

Qualifications

• Previous hospital experience preferred.
• Current BLS certification required or obtained within 30 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Assists with obtaining patient vital signs and basic care.
• Assists with feeding, toileting, hygiene care and ambulation.
• Performs EKGs and monitors patient condition.
• Transfers and transports patients as needed.
• Schedules diagnostic procedures and communicates with Physicians and care teams.
• Answers call lights promptly and notifies staff of patient needs.
• Maintains confidentiality and data integrity of patient information.
• Orders and enters charges for procedures and supplies as applicable.
• Contributes to patient satisfaction by delivering service excellence.
• Reports changes in patient condition to RN and team.
• Demonstrates teamwork and flexibility in a fast-paced environment.
