Job summary

Methodist Hospital Stone Oak Rehabilitation Center is seeking a Patient Care Technician to join a collaborative nursing team in San Antonio. You will support Registered Nurses with hands-on care, monitor patient conditions, and help ensure a safe, welcoming environment for patients.

You will assist with vital signs, mobility, and daily personal care while contributing to infection control, supply management, and quality communication with patients and families.

Qualifications

• Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date.
• Preferred: CNA Training Program; 1+ years of experience in an acute care setting.

Responsibilities

• Assisting with patient preparation, mobility, transfers, and comfort to support smooth care and recovery
• Providing non-medicated care such as dressing changes, skin protection, and use of supportive devices
• Keeping patient areas and common spaces clean, organized, and stocked to maintain safety and efficiency
• Managing supplies, equipment, and logs to support infection control and team readiness
• Communicating kindly with patients, families, and the care team to support safety and quality

Skills

BLS/CPR within 30 days

Job Summary and Qualifications

As a Patient Care Technician (PCT), you will be a vital part of our collaborative nursing team, supporting Registered Nurses in providing hands-on care and helping create a safe, welcoming environment for patients.
