Job summary

Atrium Medical Center is seeking a Patient Care Tech (PCT) to assist nurses and doctors in providing patient care in the Progressive Care Unit. The role includes monitoring vitals, helping patients with daily activities, and supporting clinical staff.

Responsibilities include basic patient assessment, specimen collection, and performing routine tasks that ensure smooth hospital operations. Training and orientation cover BLS CPR and unit procedures.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• BLS CPR certification required; orientation may teach CPR.
• No prior job experience required, but preferred: STNA, CNA, or PCT training.
• Currently in nursing school or completed one clinical rotation.

• Check temperature, heartbeat, and breathing.
• Help patients move, get dressed, and eat.
• Collect samples like urine.
• Report changes in a patient's condition to a nurse.
• Assist with patient walks, hygiene, weighing, and vitals.
